This policy explains how MyangByteLabs ("we") handles information in the Treasure Hunt Walk app (the "App"). Effective: 2026-10-18
1. Summary
You can use the App without signing in; your step counts, explorations, museum (relics) and settings then stay only on your device. Only if you sign in with Apple or Google to save your progress is the information in section 4 stored in our cloud. We never use your location. We use no analytics. Free users see rewarded ads only when they choose to (section 6); PRO users see no ads.
To work out how far you've explored, the App reads the step count your phone already records (on iPhone, also its distance estimate) — Core Motion on iPhone; the step sensor and Google Play services' on-device step recording (Recording API, no account required) on Android.
These values are used only on your device and are never transmitted. The App does not read Apple Health (HealthKit) or Health Connect data.
You can turn the permission off in your phone's settings at any time; explorations will not progress without it.
3. Information stored only on your device
Explorations (start/end time, steps, distance, area), places and relics discovered, chests, keys and fragments
Settings (language, stride length, haptics)
Your current area and progress for the home-screen widget
Deleting the App deletes this data. If device backup (iCloud / Google backup) is on, it may be included under Apple's or Google's policies. You can erase it any time in Settings → Erase all progress.
4. Saving progress (optional sign-in)
What: your Apple or Google account identifier and email address (a relay address if you use Apple's "Hide My Email"), your game progress (distance explored per area, relics, chests, keys and fragments, and the date, distance and steps of each exploration), and the app version
Why: to keep your progress safe and let you continue on another device. It is not used for anything else or shared with third parties.
How long: until you delete your account. Settings → Account → Delete account erases it permanently right away, and revokes Sign in with Apple if you used it.

5. Purchases (PRO subscription)
Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your card details. To verify your subscription, RevenueCat, Inc. processes a randomly generated anonymous user ID and your purchase history (product, purchase and expiry dates). No name, email, step data or other identifying information is sent.

6. Ads (free users)
When a free user taps to open a chest, make a key or draw today's relic, the App shows a Google AdMob rewarded ad. There are no banners or pop-up ads, and no ads are loaded for PRO users.
To serve ads, Google LLC processes device information (advertising or app-scoped identifier, device model and OS, approximate region derived from IP address), ad interactions, and crash and performance data. Step counts, explorations and account details are never sent to ads.
The App does not request App Tracking Transparency on iPhone, so ads there are non-personalized. Where consent is required (e.g. the EEA/UK), Google's consent form lets you choose, and you can change it in Settings → Ad privacy choices. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

7. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your information at any time. Erase on-device progress in the App, and delete your account and cloud progress with Delete account. If you can't use the App, email us and we will delete it promptly. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
